Is Love Enough?

For some people, hearing those three little words I Love You,  determines whether it’s worth remaining in their relationship. They believe that if a person does not confess love for them verbally, it is an indication that their relationship is destined to failure. While those words often released from the lips of a significant person sounds good, I personally do not think that it holds enough weight to determine if whether to continue a relationship with that person. My belief is that we are all supposed to love one another, so hearing some one tell me they love me is not enough to make me consider them as someone special above others to me.

I always say “actions speak louder than words”. I’d much rather have a person show me love opposed to merely confessing love for me. There is a distinct difference and you will know when you know! Simple things like thoughtfulness, being considerate of my feelings/emotions, showing affection, being loyal and honest in intention, and willing to meet me at my level and we walk/grow together are some of the things that make a person stand out to me. A simple “I love you” does not and will not ever be enough for me. What are your thoughts about this?
